30th Year Anniversary

The Calgary Pace Setters Toastmasters Club celebrated its 30th anniversary on May 1, 2021. In honor of the occasion, a special meeting was held virtually on Tuesday, May 4th, 2021. Numerous current and past members along with distinguished Area, Division, and District guests attended the virtual party. The year was 1991-a year filled with many historic moments. And the WINNER is!!!

We are so incredibly proud of our own VP PR Natasha Kutryk, who competed on April 06, 2021, against some amazing participants. It was a tough competition but Natasha was our bright star and she shone brighter than everyone else. Despite technical difficulties, Natasha’s evaluation was clean, she provided valuable feedback,  and she created rapport with the speaker. Our club decided to cancel the regular Tuesday night meeting to be able to support Natasha during the contest. It sure was worth it. Congratulations Natasha on winning the D42 Division D Evaluation Contest.She will be going to the next level of the Evaluation Contest … Continue reading And the WINNER is!!!

We have officially scored a perfect 10 out of 10!!!Pace Setters is the first club in Division D to reach 10 points, and so far, we have the highest member rate. Our final point was achieved by our Pace Setters finishing higher Level Pathways – thanks to Leena Alex and Eva Gustafsson for doubling down and completing the difficult and time-consuming Level 4 of their respective Pathways! There is a cause for celebration! As Toastmasters clubs around the world adapt to the effects the coronavirus crisis is having on in-person events and meetings, Toastmasters International is taking note of the overwhelming positive energy and resiliency. We are beaming with pride as our VP of Education is featured by District 42 for creating a New Member Boot Camp! Alisen Dopf experienced information overload when she joined Toastmasters.As a new member, she relied on in-person meetings to learn about Toastmasters. However, when the pandemic hit, it became a challenge to transition from in-person to online meetings. Alisen realized her situation was not unique.
