There is a cause for celebration!

As Toastmasters clubs around the world adapt to the effects the coronavirus crisis is having on in-person events and meetings, Toastmasters International is taking note of the overwhelming positive energy and resiliency. With year-end approaching, the Board of Directors created new awards at the club, Area, Division, and District levels for the 2019–2020 program year only, in addition to the existing Distinguished Club Program and District Recognition Program. 

Calgary Pacesetters is one of the clubs in District 42 that got recognized with a Club Online Ovation Award. We qualified for this award by meeting both of the following criteria by June 30, 2020:

• We indicated in Club Central that we allowed online attendance.
• We achieved 6 DCP education goals required in one of the two tiers. 

With this accomplishment, we were awarded Gold Education Award Status.
